A 28-year-old married woman was allegedly tonsured and taken around in a locality in C B Ganj police station area of the district here by the family members of her husband,police said. Archana,a resident of West Bengal and married to Dodram of Atariya locality,used to work as a domestic help in the area to make ends meet. This was,however,not liked by her in-laws,police said. Yesterday,her brother-in-law and sister-in-law with the help of a neighbour beat her,shaved her head and took her around the locality to humiliate her,police said. On the complaint of the victim and her husband,a case has been filed on the directions of the SSP. Also,neighbour Ram Chandra Yadav has been arrested,while a hunt was on for the remaining accused,police added.
