While various organisations and civil society in Kerala are chipping in different ways to rebuild the landslide-ravaged Wayanad, a prominent Muslim cleric has stated that raising relief funds by selling pork is blasphemy.
Sunni cleric Nasar Faizy Koodathai Saturday posted on Facebook that pork challenge held by CPI(M) youth wing DYFI for raising money for rehabilitating landslide victims is impermissible.
Referring to DYFI conducting a pork challenge, Koodathai said most of the affected people in Wayanad consider pork meat as haram.
