Tripura cancels fire and emergency service recruitment test over errors

(File Photo)Tripura has cancelled the recruitment test for the posts of firemen and drivers under the Tripura Fire and Emergency Services Department after some major errors and discrepancies were detected by evaluators.
The member secretary of the Fire Recruitment Board of Tripura (FRBT) said in a notification last Saturday that the fresh schedule for the test would be announced soon.
“This is for the information of all concerned that the written examination for the recruitment to the post of Fireman and Driver under Fire & Emergency Services Department, Govt. Of Tripura held on 8th January, 2023, vide Notification No. F. No. FRBT/12/23 dated 30.12.2022 is hereby cancelled due to some major errors and discrepancies detected by the expert evaluators. The date of fresh examination will be intimated in due course of time,” reads the notification.
In 2022, the Tripura Government served the recruitment notification for these posts under the department concerned. Though the recruitment test was conducted, results were not announced, which led to a protest by aspirants.
