Tripura announces results of medical and engineering joint entrance exams
The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination was conducted on April 23 at 15 centres throughout the state.

The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) Tuesday announced the results of entrance examinations for both medical and engineering disciplines.
In the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) group, Deepjoy Das secured the first position, while Trishrota Das and Arnab Nath took the second and third places, respectively. Ananya Debnath achieved the top position in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) group, while Saptadeep Pal and Debaprasad Saha secured the second and third positions, respectively.
“Results of TBJEE are available on websites from this evening. The students can see their results and other details by logging in their username and password,” TBJEE chairman Dr Subhadeep Paul told the reporters in Agartala.
The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination was conducted on April 23 at 15 centres throughout the state. Of these, eight were in the West Tripura district, while each of the remaining seven districts had one examination centre.
“We have conducted the joint entrance examination in 15 examination centres with 5,296 candidates this year. This includes 2,785 females and 2,515 males”, the TBJEE chairman said.
The official said that out of these candidates, 2,248 have enrolled for the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) group alone, and 4,652 candidates have appeared for the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group. Among them, 1989 (88.48 per cent) students appeared in PCM group while 4332 (over 93 per cent) students appeared in PCB group.
Another official of the board said, “In the first phase, they have to register, and in the second phase, there is choice filling. The board will verify the documents of the candidates between the two phases. The students are required to bring their own permanent resident of Tripura certificate during their counselling process.”
There are 750-800 seats in PCB and 650-700 seats in PCM, said the official.
