A suspected ISI agent,who allegedly did printing works for the Indian Army,was arrested from Rajasthan’s Bikaner district today,a senior police official said.
Mohammad Sajid (29),a resident of Bilalganj at Lahore in Pakistan,was living in Bikaner,about 360 km from here,as tenant under the assumed name of Lakhan Joshi since 2005,ADG (Intelligence) M K Devrajan said.
Sajid,arrested by the State Special Branch,was running a printing press and had got some works from army units located there,the officer said.
According to preliminary investigations,the ISI had recruited him in 2005. He was given a three-month training in military intelligence and Hindi.
Police raided his residence and press,and recovered a membership card of Shiv Sena for 2008-2010.
Devrajan said Sajid had been in contact with his handlers through e-mails and voice-on-internet protocol telephony,and had received over Rs two lakhs in his account.
