Naxals kill tribal youth on suspicion of police informer

'Pungati was murdered as the ultras suspected that he was a police informer'

A tribal youth was allegedly axed to death outside his house in Laheri village by Naxalites on suspicion that he was a police informer,police said today.

Police said suspected Maoist insurgents called out

Bandu Durga Pungati (27) outside his house last afternoon and attacked him with an axe before slitting his throat with a sharp-edged weapon.

“Pungati was murdered as the ultras suspected that he

was a police informer”,police said,adding that a case was

registered against unidentified persons at Laheri sub-police

station.
