Moderate quake rocks Assam,Nagaland

An earthquake of moderate intensity shook Assam and its neighbouring areas in the North east region today but there were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property.

The quake,measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale,occurred at 8:46 am.

The quake had its epicentre on the Indo-Myanmar border on 25.1 degree latitude north and 95.3 degree longitude east,officials said.
