Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Wednesday warned that return of trained ultras from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir as envisaged by Omar Abdullah government's rehabilitation policy for ultras in POK,posed a threat to the country's security. "Trained commandos by Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) can create havoc not only in Jammu and Kashmir but in entire country when they return from POK as per the policy of Omar government",JKNPP Chairman Bhim Singh told reporters here. The Jammu and Kashmir cabinet on November 22 cleared a rehabilitation policy for youths,who had exfiltrated from the state for arms training in POK and Pakistan but have given up insurgent activities due to change of heart and are willing to return to the state to join the mainstream. Singh said these youths in thousands now in POK have been trained as commandos by ISI all these years since they left J&K in 1989-90 and their return to the state could pose great threat to the country's security and integrity. He alleged that Omar government is doing what separatist forces,including Jamat-i-Islami,have been doing all these years of turmoil in the state. Also criticizing Omar for raking up the issue of Accession/Merger of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India,the JKNPP leader asked Congress leadership to explain its silence on his "controversial" utterances. Asking Congres to withdraw the support to NC in the state,the JKNPP Chairman urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take care of Jammu and Kashmir affairs directly. Informing of his party's decision to start "social boycott" of Congress Ministers/MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir,the JKNPP leader said,"This is the only way to express resentment against the anti-national activities carried out by NC-led government,which is patronized by Congress party."
