Infiltration bid foiled along Indo-Pak border,militant killed

Border Security Force (BSF) today foiled an infiltration bid along the Indo-Pak border and shot dead a suspected militant in Jammu district,officials said.

During patrolling along the International Border,BSF troops observed some suspicious movement at Alah-Miya-Di Kotha (AMK) forward post in Chicken Neck sector of Jammu early this morning,BSF Deputy Inspector General G Oberio said.

Troops challenged the infiltrators,resulting in a gunfight in which one suspected militant was killed,he said,adding a AK rifle,two magazines,42 rounds and five kgs of heroin worth Rs five crore in the international market were seized.

The search operation is on in the area,he said.
