Haryana police arrest man for drugging,drowning wife and kids

The incident pertains to village Nathor in Rania area of Sirsa district. Vinod lodged a complaint with the police saying his wife and children had gone out on November 30 and had not returned. 

Following this, the police initiated investigations during which Vinod’s conduct was found suspicious. Suman’s parents also alleged that Vinod used to ill-treat their and her children. Vinod was detained for questioning,during which he reportedly confessed to the crime. 

“The accused told us that he was having an affair with another woman and Suman got to know of it. When she confronted him,he decided to get rid of her and his children. On the evening of November 30,he gave his wife and children sweets laced with a drug. Then,he took Suman and his two children in the school bus to the Rajasthan canal and allegedly threw them in the water. The next morning,he approached us and lodged a missing report,” said SI Ravi Khundia,investigating officer of the case. 

Soon after coming to know of the triple murder,Sirsa police swung into action and launched a massive search operation in the Rajasthan canal. A team of divers finally succeeded in recovering Saurav’s body today,while the bodies of Suman and Raveena were yet to be recovered. 

Saurav’s body was kept at Sirsa civil hospital mortuary for post-mortem after which it would be handed over to his grandparents. 

The investigating officials are also trying to ascertain the role of Vinod’s paramour.
