Cop injured in an accidental fire in Jammu

A police constable was injured when his service rifle went off accidentally in District Police Lines here,police officials said today.

Constable Murtaza Ali Mir of Mendhar tehsil of Rajouri district was seriously injured when his service rifle went off accidentally during his duty here last evening,they said.

He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College hospital where his condition was stated to be critical,they said,adding police is investigating the matter.
