Bihar bandh called on November 24

PIML (Liberation) has given a call for Bihar bandh on November 24 demanding among others land reforms.

“We have given a call for state-wide bandh on November 24 to press for implementation of land reforms following recommendations of D Bandyopadhyay Commission,party’s state secretary,Nand Kishore Prasad told reporters.

Other demands include implementation of common education system and a check on corruption in Public Distribution System,he said.

Incidentally,the Nitish Kumar government completes four years in power on the day.

After days of negotiations, the Congress Thursday finally announced RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as the chief minister face of the Mahagathbandhan. In addition, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani was declared the alliance’s deputy chief minister face, with Congress leader Ashok Gehlot saying they could consider other names too as Deputy CMs after the polls.
