2 Trinamool supporters injured in clash with CPM activists

An FIR has been filed by the Trinamool against ten persons.

Two Trinamool Congress supporters were today injured after they clashed with CPI(M) activists at Raina in Burdwan district,police said.

Nikhil Ghosh and Haripad Ghosh were admitted to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital after the incident happened while they were campaigning for local Trinamool candidate in Nadal village.

An FIR has been filed by the Trinamool against ten persons.

In the meanwhile,District Magistrate Onkar Singh Meena played down the incident describing it as “ordinary”.

“It is an ordinary incident. Political parties have to have patience. I have asked the Superintendent of Police to send one extra platoon of security forces,” Singh said.
