Maoists kill two villagers in Sukma five days after abduction

The banned Communist Party of India (Maoists) claimed responsibility for the murder terming the duo police informers.

Two persons, who were abducted from their village near the Telangana border in Sukma district Sunday, were found murdered outside their village Friday morning, taking the toll to nine persons killed this year in Naxal violence.

Friday morning a few Duled villagers found bodies of the two men – Sodi Hunga, 29, and Madvi Nanda (age yet to be ascertained) – both from the village. Both had left home on Sunday to visit Telangana to work in chilli farms but went missing.

Sodi is survived by his wife and a six-year-old son, and Nanda is survived by his wife and two children.
