‘Maoists confined to just four districts’ — Home Minister Amit Shah in MP amid massive anti-insurgency push

Maoists who dreamed of establishing a corridor from Pashupatinath to Tirupati are now confined to just four districts in India, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said Thursday. Shah was addressing the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Day Parade in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch district.

Whether it is fighting terrorists in Kashmir, maintaining peace in the Northeast, or limiting the activities of “ruthless Naxals who dream of establishing a corridor from Pashupatinath to Tirupati to only four districts”, and “our CRPF personnel have made a significant contribution in all these areas”, he said in his speech. The remarks come amid massive anti-insurgency push in the neighbouring Chhattisgarh

“The biggest role and contribution of CRPF will be in making the country free from Naxalism. The dreaded Naxalites tremble on seeing the CRPF’s Cobra Battalion coming and that under the leadership of Cobra Battalion, other CRPF soldiers have made a huge contribution towards eliminating Naxalism by March 31, 2026,” he claimed, reiterated the deadline for rooting out Left-Wing Extremism.

“Whether it is maintaining peace in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 or ensuring peaceful conduct of every election, CRPF jawans have performed their duties with all their heart. After the removal of Article 370, assembly elections were held in Kashmir, and at that time, people had all kinds of apprehensions. But our CRPF and other security forces ensured security”.
