A 30-year-old man was arrested from Kalwa town here for allegedly cheating on a woman by entering into a wedlock despite being married earlier,police said. In her complaint,the 27-year-old victim alleged that she had been cheated by Kiran Deepak Mahadik,as he married her without divorcing his first wife,Kalwa police station inspector N D Pujari said today. She also mentioned that he harassed her for dowry and even tortured her physically and mentally. Police booked Mahadik under relevant sections of the IPC and arrested him on Sunday. The accused had reportedly cheated many other girls also in the name of marriage,police said adding that investigations in the case were on.
