Three MLAs of Uttar Pradesh’s ruling Samajwadi Party,including Mahendra Singh who was arrested from a dance bar in Goa,were on Wednesday suspended from party membership for their alleged involvement in anti-party activites.

The party had earlier in the day issued a show-cause notice to Mahendra Singh who was arrested in Goa and booked under Anti-Prostitution Act yesterday.

SP MLAs Mahendra Singh,who represents Sevta constituency in Sitapur district,Radhey Shyam Jaiswal (Sitapur) and Ram Lal Akela (Bachrawah-Raebareli) have been suspended from the party by state party president Akhilesh Yadav”,SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury told reporters at Lucknow.
Chowdhury said Shailendra Jaiswal,son of an SP MLA from Sitapur Sadar seat,Radhey Shyam Jaiswal,and Vikrant Akela,son of party Raebareli MLA Ramlal Akela,were expelled from the party.

While Shailendra’s name cropped up in the firing incident in Sitapur for alleged land grabbing on Tuesday,Vikrant had allegedly got a house bulldozed in Raebareli to grab a piece of land.
“The three MLAs have been suspended for their involvement in anti-party activities by Akhilesh Yadav”,Chowdhury said.
