Shocker in Thane: 11-year-old boy booked for rape

A minor boy has been booked for allegedly raping a 4-year-old girl,police said.

A student,just 11 years old,from Mumbra township here in Thane has been booked for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl,police said today.

PI Usha Suradkar of Mumbra police station said that the victim and the accused were neighbours in Kausa and the incident took place on Tuesday evening when the boy locked the girl in his house and sexually assaulted her.

The victim later narrated the incident to her mother following which a complaint was registered against him.

Mumbra police have registered offences under section 376 of the IPC and also sections 4 and 7 of The Protection of Children from Sexual offences act 2012.

Further investigations are on.
