Priyanka says she doesn’t feel need to enter politics

Star Congress campaigner Priyanka Gandhi says that she does not feel the need to enter politics as there are many ways to serve the people.

Star Congress campaigner Priyanka Gandhi says that she does not feel the need to enter politics as there are many ways to serve the people, days after indicating that she was not averse to joining it. “I think there are many ways to serve people and I just don’t feel the need to enter politics,” 37-year-old Priyanka said. Her comments follow her April 12 remarks when she gave her first indication that she was not averse to joining politics.

“As I am growing older,I’m realising that ‘never’ is a bad thing to say. So I’m not going to say never,” she had told reporters while campaigning for her brother Rahul in UP’s Amethi Lok Sabha constituency, when asked whether she would

join active politics. However, she had added,”…but I certainly don’t see it. I don’t feel that (joining politics) is what I would do.” Priyanka,a daily newspaper reported, says that only the Gandhi family and Congress party are serious about development and the issues that challenge the country. “People will vote for my family and the Congress party because they are the only ones who are serious about development and the issues that challenge the nation,” she was quoted as saying by the paper.
