None of the captains of the two cargo ships,whose collision off Mumbai coast led to an oil slick,have been given a clean chit yet,even as the police is probing as whose fault led to the accident.
The captains of MSC Chitra and M V Khalijia blame each other for the collision that caused a major oil spill,hugely polluting the Mumbai harbour on August 7.
Although no one was injured,33 crew members,including two Pakistanis,were rescued from both the ships.
Following the collision,Chitra tilted precariously. An estimated 500 tonnes of oil spilled and about 250 containers tumbled in the sea.
