Jawan killed,another injured in mine blast on LoC in Poonch

An army jawan was killed and another got injured when a land mine exploded.

An army jawan was killed and another got injured when a land mine exploded near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Lance Naik Naresh Kumar was killed on the spot and another jawan got injured when they stepped over the mine along the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district last night,a Defence spokesman said here today.

The two victims were part of Road Opening Party (ROP) when place,he said,adding body of Kumar will be sent to his native place in Haryana after completion of all formalities. The injured jawan has been hospitalised,he added.
