The Indian Muslim League demanded the Central and State governments implement a nationwide ban on the pesticide Endosulfan.
The working committee of the state unit,which met here,scientific studies on the use of the pesticide had revealed the adverse effects of endosulfan on human beings. There was no need of another committee to conduct studies on the effects of the pesticide,it said.
The party also demanded stringent action against those who violating rules.
It alleged that CPI(M) was resorting to violence after the defeat in the local bodies election in the state.
Muslim League State President Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal presided. National IUML President and Union minister of state for railways,E Ahamed,inaugurated the meet.
