Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas, who travelled to Ralegan Siddhi on Thursday to extend support to Anna Hazare’s protest, said it was wrong on part of the veteran social activist to pin his hopes on Congress and BJP for passage of a strong Lokpal Bill. He said if re-polling happens and AAP forms a majority government in Delhi,it would pass the Jan Lokpal Billl verbatim. He was accompanied by AAP leaders Gopal Rai and Sanjay Singh.

“Anna is a simple man, maybe he doesn’t understand but the people of this country have understood that only way to get a strong Lokpal is to get into politics by defeating the cunning politicians,” Vishwas said at the Pune airport on way to Anna’s village.

“All those people to whom Anna has now written, requesting passage of the Lokpal Bill, including Arun Jaitley and Salman Khurshid are the same people who laughed at the Bill. They have made a joke of the original Bill. It can hardly be called a Lokpal now. It has become Jokepal now. We have come to tell Anna that AAP is committed to passing the Jan Lokpal Bill with its word and spirit intact,” said Vishwas.

The AAP leader said that after a stunning performance in Delhi, the AAP will field candidates in other states as well. “The common man of India will contest the elections now all across the country. The culture of preparation of candidature lists at 10 Janpath (Congress chief residence) and Nagpur (RSS headquarters) will have to be abandoned. Simple and humble men and women will take on the mighty of Congress and BJP and defeat them like in Delhi,” he said.

In Ralegan Siddhi, the three leaders will not  go on the stage where Anna is fasting as he had disapproved of sharing his stage with political personalities. Vishwas said Arvind Kejriwal is down with fever and would come as soon as he felt better.
