Digvijay Singh claims BJP leaders are afraid of him

The BJP leaders,who were roaming on bicycles seven years ago,are now seen moving in SUVs,the former Chief Minister said.

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh today claimed he is the “biggest threat” for the BJP and therefore,the saffron leaders are afraid of him the most.

BJP faces the biggest threat from me and therefore,whenever I visit Madhya Pradesh,its party leaders get nervous,” he told reporters while campaigning for Congress candidate Tanya Solomon for the June 25 Jebera Assembly bypoll.

Earlier,addressing a street corner meeting,Singh alleged that during the BJP rule,corruption has increased manifold in Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP,in power since December 2003,has failed to deliver on its pre-poll promises to construct good roads and provide quality electricity,Singh said.

The senior Congress leader claimed that during his ten-year rule as Chief Minister,not a single farmer had to purchase fertilisers in black,but now they are forced to buy it from the black market.

He alleged tardy progress in implementing forest rights Act in the state and said the ruling party members were extracting money from the rightful owners of land under the legislation passed by the UPA Government at the Centre over five years ago.
