Dismissing speculation about his switch to BJP, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath said Wednesday, “Have I ever said I am going to BJP? Have I gone mad? BJP is campaigning very strongly and aggressively. But don’t be afraid, this is just a show.”

Resuming a tour of his home turf Chhindwara, Nath slammed the BJP for “using Ram Mandir” ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Nath’s son Nakul Nath is a LS MP from the Chhindwara constituency. Nath, currently on a five-day visit to Chhindwara district, plans to visit several constituencies and hold meetings with party workers and officials before the LS polls..

Addressing a gathering in Chourai, he said, “You gave me love and trust for so many years. You want to bid farewell to Kamal Nath. This is your choice. I am ready to leave. I don’t want to impose myself. That is your wish.”

Nath pointed out that although he built the “biggest” Hanuman Temple 12 years ago on his land and not that of the government’s, he never used it for promotional purposes during polls.
