Air India Suspends Tel Aviv Flights

Earlier in the day, Air India suspended its flights to Tel Aviv until August 8 in response to escalating tensions in the Middle East. The airline, which is part of the Tata Group, usually operates five weekly flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv.

“In view of the ongoing situation in parts of the Middle East, we have suspended the scheduled operation of our flights to and from Tel Aviv with immediate effect up to and including 08 August 2024. We are continuously monitoring the situation,” Air India stated on X. The airline is also providing a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges for passengers with confirmed bookings during this period.

This suspension follows the cancellation of a flight to Tel Aviv on Thursday. Earlier this year, Air India briefly suspended flights to the city due to similar tensions. Services were resumed on March 3 after a suspension that began on October 7, 2023, following a Hamas attack on the city.
