Woman shames NABARD employee after receiving obscene message on LinkedIn

A woman complained to the chairman of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) about a lewd message sent by one of its employees.

Barely a week after a Facebook user’s reply to her harasser went viral, another case of online sexual harassment came to light when a woman complained to the chairman of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) about a lewd message sent by one of its employees.

Jagdish Prasad, an assistant general manager of NABARD, had reportedly contacted the woman on LinkedIn enquiring about her experience in the field of rural development and women empowerment. The innocuous message veered towards obscenity with the AGM probing for details about the women’s faith and marital status.

“… You are looking beautiful & gorgeous. Do you like & it is ok , as per your culture , IF , I say you are very sexy & hot also? Are you married or have BF? Have kids? are you follow Islam/Christianity?…,” read the AGM’s meesage.

The woman took to Twitter to highlight this shocking case of misogyny.

The women also sent a strongly worded to the chairman of NABARD about Jagdish’s inappropriate message. According to CNN-IBN, the chairman of the bank has reportedly promised to launch an internal investigation and take stern action against the erring employee.
