In yet another gathering that showed the student community’s support for the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, students, who are protesting against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan and four other members of the FTII society, the students of Mumbai University staged a protest on Thursday. About 50 people, including students, artistes and FTII alumni members came together to demonstrate with banners and shouting slogans in front of the Mumbai University’s Kalina campus. They protested against the arrest of five students in a midnight swoop down by the Pune police on Wednesday.
