Trainee I-T officer wins 7 gold medals

Seven gold medals under his belt,trainee IRS officer Amar Gehlot received special appreciation from Mukherjee. Gehlot of Meerut in UP joined National Academy of Direct Taxes as part of the 65th IRS batch after clearing the civil services exam in 2011. He was adjudged the ‘best trainee officer’ of the batch. With six academic gold medals,he left only three for batchmates. He was given the seventh,Finance Minister’s gold,for his excellent record. The President not only congratulated the young officer but also applauded his feat. Gehlot,with 111 batchmates,will soon join the I-T department as an assistant commissioner.
