Tamil Nadu government has announced the closure of educational institutions till further notice. This followed the unrest among the student community after the suicide of a youth in protest of the killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

Protesters raised slogans against centre and state governments and hailed LTTE chief Prabhakaran as the leaders of Tamils. Prabhakaran’s portrait was proudly held up while the Tiger chief himself hailed Muthu Kumar,who committed suicide on Thursday,as the Tamil ‘braveheart’.
