Three youths arrested with fake currency

Three youths were arrested in the capital allegedly with fake currency with a face value of Rs 52,960,police said.

Three youths were arrested in the capital allegedly with fake currency with a face value of Rs 52,960,police said today.

The arrested persons are Surender Singh (25),Shiv Kumar Giri (26) and Jaiprakash (22).

They were apprehended from Sarai Kale Khan on Monday following police receiving an input about their presence.

The gang members allegedly told investigators that they were involved in sale and purchase of fake currency in different places in Delhi and UP’s Ghaziabad.

Singh,the alleged supplier of fake currency,used to select places for meeting his customers,a senior police official said.

He preferred railway stations and ISBTs for this purpose and during every dealing,he used to keep a well built person with him to thwart any attempt of his customer to play foul with him.
