Trying to send a message of reinvented unity in the Congress,PCC chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu assured party members at a meeting held in Mandi that he would enforce discipline. He said that the party would now aim at winning all the four Lok sabha seats in the 2014 elections.
Joined by former communication minister Sukh Ram,Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur,Excise and Taxation Minister Prakash Chaudhry,Rural Development Minister Anil Sharma and MLAs,PCC chief accused the previous BJP government of bringing the states development to a stand still.
His unity appeal,however,had some dissent voices as some leaders raised objection to the presence of some party rebels like Chet Ram,Natha Singh,Bir Singh,Ram Singh – who the speakers at the meeting suspected to have worked against the party in the 2012 Assembly polls.
