Suchitra Sen on oxygen support

Her low food intake has made her weak and the doctors have intensified her nutrition therapy.

Veteran actress Suchitra Sen’s condition remains critical though she is conscious and surviving on constant oxygen support.
A medical bulletin issued by Belle Vue Clinic, where she was admitted on December 23 following a respiratory tract infection, said the medical condition of the 82-year-old actress has now stabilised and her oxygen saturation level in blood and other ancillary blood reports are satisfactory.
Her low food intake has made her weak and the doctors have intensified her nutrition therapy, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, the security cover was increased at the hospital as fans are anxious to get a glimpse of the yesteryear star. Sen was the first Indian actress to win the best actress award internationally at the Moscow Film Festival.
She has starred in Hindi films like ‘Devdas’, ‘Aandhi’, ‘Saat Paake Bandha’, ‘Agnipariksha’, ‘Saptapadi’ and ‘Deep Jwele Jai’ in Bengali.
