Unidentified gunmen shot dead a Hurriyat Conference (G) “member” in Kashmir’s Sopore town on Friday. This is the second killing of an alleged Hurriyat Conference (G) activist in in the past four days. Police said that around 9 pm unidentified gunmen fired on Khurshed Ahmad outside his house, killing him. The slain person was heading Traders Federation Bomai and was working with Hurriyat Conference. Hurriyat Conference (G) however said that slain man had no links with the group.
