There were three persons including a woman and two children who saw the two suspected militants at a tubewell near government school in Pathwal village in Kathua district of Jammu this morning. The police was informed about the information that resulted in a lot of panic in the entire area. Schools were evacuated and shops shut. Army and police personnel cordoned off the entire area and initiated a massive search operation. The operation is yet on and is likely to carry on till evening. More than about 500 personnel of Army and J and K police,CRPF have launched a joint combing operation in the area. "They were two young boys,probably in the age of about 20-25 years old. They were wearing black coloured bandanas on their heads and were carrying bags on their back. I had gone to the tubewell to fetch some water so that I could begin my cooking for the school children. They both saw me. Before I could react,they ran into the jungle area and vanished. I rushed back to the school and informed the school teachers. We raised an alarm and informed the police. A few village boys who heard me also entered the jungle,but could not find them",said Preet Kaur,a resident of village Pathwal in Kathua district. Pathwal village is about two kilometers from Hiranagar where the three terrorists attacked the police station and moved further to army base camp in samba on Thursday morning. The village is located close to the Jammu-Pathankot national highway and according to the villagers,if one walks through the jungle area,he can reach the national highway in about 30 minutes. "We have got the information about two suspected looking elements spotted in Pathwal village. Precautionary measures have been taken and the search is going on",said Jitender Kumar Singh,DC,Kathua.
