School of Communication Studies chosen best business school

The Mumbai Public Relations Council of India has chosen the School of Communication Studies of Panjab University for the Best Business Communication School of the Year Award for 2011-12.

The Mumbai Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) has chosen the School of Communication Studies (SCS) of Panjab University for the Best Business Communication School of the Year (National) Award for 2011-12.

The Chanakya Award was presented at the 6th Global Conclave held at in Mumbai by H K Dua,MP.

SCS was selected from amongst several nominations on the basis of its excellent performance for academic excellence,establishing community radio,developing strong ties with alumni, said a university official.

PRCI is an apex body of public relations professionals and business communicators in the country,and Chanakya Awards for excellence in PR and communication are given yearly.

A forensic report has concluded that the Kurnool bus accident, which claimed 20 lives, was caused by a drunk biker, B Shiva Shankar. The biker was allegedly driving under the influence when his bike skidded on a wet road and collided with the bus, causing it to burst into flames. The police have gathered evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
