Rebel Rane to make a comeback in Cong?

Suspended Congress leader and former Revenue Minister Narayan Rane is due to meet Defence Minister and All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Maharashtra AK Antony at 1 pm in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Rane who had been suspended from Congress after his outburst against the leadership after incumbent Ashok Chavan piqued him to the post of CM,later mellowed down and expressed regrests for his remarks to reach a compromise with the party.

Rane is said to be eager for a comeback into the state cabinet in addition to a ministerial berth for one of his supporters. He will meet Antony in what could be a precursor for his suspension to be revoked and his re-entry in the cabinet on the eve of Lok Sabha polls.
