Pandit organisation demands commission on eruption of militancy

An organisation of Kashmiri Pandits on Sunday demanded a commission be set up to fix responsibility for the eruption of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir and the mass exodus of most of the community from the valley.

“We demand setting up of a Truth and Justice Commission to look into the failure of the government to protect the lives of its citizens in Kashmir,how thousands of youth crossed the Line of Control,who is responsible for mass exodus of minorities from the valley and why democratic institutions failed to protect their rights”,Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti president Sanjay K Tickoo said in a statement here.

He alleged the Centre had no serious policy on Kashmir and parliamentarians were unconcerned about happenings in the valley.
