Security forces today arrested five alleged Over Ground Workers for providing logistical support to militants in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir,police said here.
As per intelligence inputs,the forces raided Thanamandi belt of Rajouri and arrested three OGWs,identified as Abdul Rasheed,Mohmmad Younis and Javed Ahmed,and recovered seven SIM cards and Rs 35,000 in cash,they said.
Younis allegedly supplied hawala money to militants,while Rasheed provided and recharged sim-cards and Ahmed arranged for hideouts and logistical support,police said.
In another incident,police arrested two more suspected OGWs,identified as Nazir Gujjar from Kishtwar and Gulam Mohammad from Reasi district,and recovered a rifle and a fake identity card from their possession,they added.
