Haryana jail officials seem have no qualms when it comes to offering better facilities to convicts and undertrials facing murder and rape charges. Information gathered under Right to Information (RTI) by advocate H C Arora from three central jails Hisar Central Jail,Karnal District Prison and Gurgaon District Prison revealed that 35 people or undertrials convicted or facing prosecution have been given class B facilities in the jails. Of these,18 stand convicted for murder and nine were undertrial prisoners facing murder charges. Such facilities include facility to get food cooked separately or to get food from home,to have more visitors,exemption from tough jobs and proper bedding.
