Militants kill their surrendered associate in Kishtwar

Some armed militants came to the house of a surrendered Hizbul Mujahideen militant,Abdul Majid Ganoo,and killed him in the spot.

Militants killed one of their surrendered associate and injured a villager in Tunder-Dachhan area,290 kms from Jammu,official sources said.

Some armed militants came to the house of a surrendered Hizbul Mujahideen militant,Abdul Majid Ganoo,in Tunder-Dachhan early this morning,official sources said adding after a brief exchange of arguments,militants opened fire killing him on the spot.

Ganoo had surrendered before the authorities in February 2008,they said.

Another villager,Tariq Hussain who was present there,was also injured in the firing,sources said and added that militants later fled away.

The injured villager was shifted to nearby Public Health Centre for treatment.
