J-K govt sanctions ex-gratia relief in nine militancy-affected cases

Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned Rs 17.75 lakh as ex-gratia relief in nine militancy-affected cases in Baramulla district.

The ex-gratia relief was sanctioned at a meeting of District Level Coordination Committee which met under the chairmanship of District Magistrate yesterday,an official spokesman said.

Out of the total amount,Rs six lakh were sanctioned in favour of six death cases,Rs. 11 lakh in favour of two property damages and Rs 75,000 in favour of one injured case.

He said decisions on eight cases were deferred while six other cases were referred for re-verification.
