A mahapanchayat of Sarvkhaps was held in Sisana village stadium in Kharkhoda,Sonepat district, today under the chairmanship of Surender Dahiya, president of Dahiya khap.
During the meet, the Khaps discussed the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha polls in Delhi and other states and decided that no Jat will vote for the Congress if they do not get reservation.
Even the Uttar Pradesh government had acted in a biased manner towards Jats and registered false criminal cases against them. The Jats will assemble at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 7 and submit a memorandum to the President and demand UP governments dismissal. If we do not get quota,we will block the entire road and rail traffic connecting Delhi before the forthcoming polls, said OP Sindhu, one of the Jat leaders.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various khaps from Uttar Pradesh,Haryana,Rajasthan,Punjab and various other states. The khap representatives also decided that they will constitute 11-member committees for their ongoing demand of Jat reservation and the committees will take up the issue with all the state governments, ensuring that they succeed in getting reservation in government jobs and educational institutes.
