I-Day preparation: Air space over Delhi to be closed for 2 hours

The air space over Delhi will remain closed for two hours today and tomorrow to facilitate air exercise as part of the Independence Day preparation.

A NOTAM (Notice To Airmen) have been issued by the Delhi Air Traffic Control to the airlines advising them to reschedule their flights.

The airspace within 60 km radius of IGI Airport will be closed from 1300 hours to 1500 hours on August 11 and August 12 for the air exercises,according to the notice issued by the Delhi ATC.

It has also asked the airlines to inform passengers about the rescheduling of the flights,DIAL said in a statement.

Every year,the airspace over Delhi remains shut in the wake of Independence Day preparations.
