Fiza to file police complaint against Chand?

Anuradha Bali,alias Fiza,the second wife of former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan,alias Chand Mohammad,is planning to file a police complaint against him for abandoning her within months of their marriage.

Sources said the 37-year-old former Assistant Advocate General of Haryana remained busy with her lawyers on Tuesday trying to draft a criminal complaint against Chand. On Monday,Fiza had launched a no-holds-barred attack on the 43-year-old senior Congress leader for betraying her.

Fiza was left high and dry when Chand disappeared from her Mohali Sector 48-C flat on January 28. While Fiza had raised a hue and cry alleging Chand’s abduction,the same evening Chand was picked up in Delhi in an inebriated state. He claimed he had gone on his own and was safe.

The next day,Fiza was hospitalised after an overdose of anti-depressant tablets. Subsequently,an attempt to suicide case was slapped against her by the Mohali police. “All options remain and only time will tell what comes next,” was all Fiza said on Tuesday.

However,the sources revealed that she is likely to level charges of rape and criminal intimidation against Chand in the police complaint.

Confirming the development,Mohali (City) SP Varinder Paul Singh said Fiza’s lawyer Rohit Mahajan had sought an appointment with him on Wednesday. “Let’s see when they come and what they say,” he said.
