The CBI registered an FIR against Dhanraj Yadav — Governor Ramnaresh Yadav’s former officer on special duty (OSD) — and 37 others in connection with irregularities in the 2012 examination for recruitment in police department. The OSD had been sacked by the Governor when his name figured in more than one case being probed by the Special Task Force (STF). The Governor was himself made an accused later in one case but the high court ordered removal of his name, a verdict challenged in the Supreme Court. The CBI has already filed an FIR in the case in which the Governor was one of the accused persons. O P Shukla, the OSD of former Technical Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma, and Vyapam official Nitin Mohindra were among the other accused against whom the FIR was filed Sunday.
