The Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh headed by Chief Minister Nabam Tuki Friday announced its decision to prepare an ‘Arunachal Vision-2030’ document covering six broad areas in order to boost the development activities in the hill state.
Informing about this in Itanagar, state government spokesperson Bamang Felix said the Arunachal Vision-2030 document would encompass six broad areas — enabling infrastructure, economic potential, social sectors, social harmony, border development and resource mobilisation — and contain both long-term and medium-term strategies to accelerate the development process.
Meanwhile, three committees are being constituted to identify challenges, set targets and work out a detailed development strategy for the Vision document, Felix said. The three committees are a Cabinet Committee, a Committee of Secretaries and a Committee of Experts.
“These committees will firm up framework and prepare a draft vision document within six months after consultations, field visits and also incorporating public opinion at the village, block, district and state level. The committees will also propose a comprehensive institutional mechanism to achieve the targets assigned in the vision document,” he said.
