Discuss Kashmir, counter Pak on facts: Panthers Party

In his letter to Narendra Modi, Bhim Singh also implored Modi government to argue like a lawyer on facts, law and reality to let the international community know the truth.

National Panthers Party president Bhim Singh Monday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioning India’s reluctance in discussing the issue of Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan.

Expressing surprise over India’s defensive posture whenever Pakistan tried to raise Kashmir bilaterally or at the international level, he asked the Central leadership to study the UN Resolution carefully and its violation by Pakistan right from the day it was passed on August 13, 1948.

In his letter to Modi, Singh also implored Modi government to argue like a lawyer on facts, law and reality to let the international community know the truth. He pointed out the speeches made before the UN by the then defence minister Krishna Menon in 1957 and 1962. The Prime Minister must “make it compulsory for all his ministers and diplomats to sit in a class and understand the minute details of UN Resolution on J&K,” he added.

Referring to the violations of UN resolutions committed by Pakistan, Singh said that the UN had directed the neighbouring country to vacate all occupied territories of J&K, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral and the entire PoK.

He asked the Prime Minister to invoke facts and take on Pakistan at all platforms.
