Director says post officers interested in training at MPA

Frustrated officers, those nearing retirement adversely affect recruits.

The director of Maharashtra Police Academy (MPA) in Nashik has written to the office of the DGP that officers who have interest in training recruits alone be posted at MPA,not frustrated officers or those biding time till retirement.

A circular issued by the office of DGP on May 27 said Sanjay Barve, director,MPA,had made such a request.

“MPA provides training to IPS officers, probationary deputy superintendents of police and sub-inspectors. Posting officers waiting for retirement or frustrated officers at MPA has an adverse effect on honest trainees. The academy provides training to future generations of Maharashtra police. Hence, the director of MPA has requested that only those officers with inclination towards training be posted at MPA,” says the circular signed by senior assistant inspector general of police P K Ghuge on behalf of DGP.
