Rs 5 lakh worth banknotes ‘missing’ from Nashik mint, case lodged

The police said 1,000 banknotes of Rs 500 denominations have been missing since June 29 and it is suspected that someone working at the press had committed the theft since no outsider can enter its premises owing to the high security.
